Rats In The Attic
Most rat jobs have rat activity confined to the attic and wall spaces. If untreated, an attic rat problem will progess to a total home problem, which means droppings,
chewing, and rat sightings will take place in the home proper.
Why Do They Go There?
Roof rats crave attics for three reasons:
1). Warmth: Roof rats are tropical animals and crave warmth. When nighttime emperatures drop below 70 F, roof rats are driven to seek a warmer environment.
2). Mating opportunities: Nothing attracts a rat like a rat. Attics with rats attract new rats seeking good lovin'.
3). Safety: Attics are free of predators. Like all other animals, rats avoid danger by seeking shelter from predators.
The attic is almost always the heart of the problem. In most cases, all trapping takes place in the attic... meaning no traps in the home proper.
Some wildlife problems
are relatively easy and can be solved by the homeowner.
Some wildlife problems are somewhat tricky and should be performed by a wildlife company and it may not matter how skilled the wildlife operator is.
Rat problems
are the absolute most difficult wildlife problems and the skill level of the wildlife company you hire is incredibly important. Any small mistake on the part of the wildlife
professional can cause the work to fail and money to be wasted.

The Wildlife Patrol Advantage
- Owner operated.
Attic work is typically not able to be observed by the customer. Can you trust that you are getting maximum effort from whoever you employ when you can't see what they do?
Hiring Wildlife Patrol means you are certain to get the best.
- Younger, thinner, more athletic.
Exploring attics in Central Florida heat is exhausting even for us.
Sometimes attics are easy to travel in and being in great shape doesn't make a difference. But often times, getting through the attic to where the rats are nesting is incredibly difficult, and we know no other
company can get to where we can.
